Post-production is an ever developing feature of film and TV, live events and, increasingly, stage productions, where directors are seeking new ways of presenting action and sets. Post-production and editing are identified nationally as employment growth areas over the next decade.

This programme is highly focussed on industry needs and you will enjoy working with visiting lecturers from large producing and presenting theatres, as well as professionals working on BBC and ITV productions, and collaborating with other CCAD students.

Working alongside the content creators of Film, TV & Theatre Production, you will work across multiple platforms enhancing your skills across two years working in both Film and Theatre giving you a double edged career pathway when you graduate.

What will you study on Post-Production for Stage & Screen?

In your first year (Level Four) you will explore:
• Core technical production skills
• Introduction post production workflow
• Offline and online post production
• Live project

In your second year (Level Five) you will develop:
• Live projects (theatre or Film)
• Advanced post production
• Theatre VFX
• VFX for 16mm film
• Working with actors and directors
• History and context of the visual

Career Opportunities:
Past CCAD graduates have found their niche in post production – working in VFX, and digital finishing on Bond, Marvel and Harry Potter movies and working for the BBC and online news outlets like The Daily Mirror. This is the programme for you if you want a career in:
• Editing and post production on features,
TV, documentary and commercial screens
• Titles and credit sequence design

• Festival and large event production.

On our campus we have a proscenium arch theatre with production gallery; sound proof TV studios with production gallery and a fully networked, state of the art edit suite adjoining it. In 2017 CCAD is opening The Bus Sheds – a commercial sound stage facility next door to our teaching facilities which will be one of the largest such
facilities in the UK.
